How to Choose a Pact
Choose among twelve Soulframe Pacts and Wyld variants for Preludes 15 based on role, Virtues, and playstyle.
Decision Framework
Pacts function as Soulframe's class system — twelve options including Wyld variants in Gods & Ghosts. Choose based on combat rhythm (parry vs ranged vs support), not tier list rank alone. Early respec exists but costs Virtue materials in Preludes 15.
Ask three questions: Do you want to lead Smite burst damage? Enable spectral puzzles and debuffs? Or keep parties alive with Grace mobility? Your answer narrows candidates quickly.
Role Archetypes
Courage-primary Pacts like Tethren excel at parry-Smite loops against bosses including Torment Stag. Spirit-primary Sirin simplifies ghost content and mark mechanics. Grace-primary Oscelda improves dodge windows and revives. Ode Tempest fills AoE farming for Agari routes.
Wyld variants modify passives for ghost interactions — relevant if you focus Gods & Ghosts endgame, less so for first-week story.
Virtue and Gear Synergy
Each Pact skews toward Courage, Spirit, or Grace keystone Totems. Mismatching weapon families wastes breakpoints — use pact comparison tool before committing. Hybrid Virtues work but delay power spikes.
Group vs Solo
Solo beginners often pick Tethren or Oscelda. Group players filling missing roles should consult party composition — duplicate Smite carriers underperform compared to one Tethren plus Sirin support.
