Talismans & Totems Guide
Soulframe Preludes 15 Totem and Talisman rework explained: sockets, progression tiers, migration, and Pact synergy.
Rework Overview
Preludes 15: Gods & Ghosts overhauled Totems and Talismans to reduce build confusion from Preludes 14. Totems now follow a visible three-tier progression with stat previews before socket commitment. Talismans align more clearly with Pact identities and ghost content affixes.
Legacy items migrate through a hub NPC — do not destroy old Totems before visiting the migration ritualist in Midrath.
Totem Sockets
Weapons and armor gain Totem sockets via main quest milestones and TUVALKANE upgrades. Each socket accepts one Totem providing passive bonuses — Smite damage, Nightfold duration, resource regen, etc.
Removing Totems costs currency and may downgrade tier in Preludes 15 — plan sockets using the totems guide video walkthrough.
Talismans and Passive Power
Talismans equip in dedicated charm slots unlocked by Virtue breakpoints. They grant proc effects: on-parry heals, mark spread, ghost slayer bursts. Talismans are often Pact-flavored — cross-Pact use works but at reduced efficiency.
Gods & Ghosts introduced ghost-slayer Talisman sets farmed from spectral elites and Cogah.
Build Planning
Socket order matters for pre-alpha material scarcity: prioritize DPS Totems for main content, sustain Talismans for learning bosses, utility secondaries for Agari speed. Trade duplicate Talismans within bind rules to accelerate alt builds.
