Understanding Preludes Access

Soulframe Preludes is the pre-alpha phase of Digital Extremes' dark-fantasy action RPG. As of July 2026, the live prelude is Preludes 15: Gods & Ghosts. Access is intentionally limited: the studio scales concurrent players to gather feedback on combat, Pacts, Virtues, and world systems before a wider release.

There are exactly two legitimate ways to enter Preludes during this period. You may register on the official waitlist and receive an invitation when capacity allows, or you may purchase a Founder package that includes immediate game access on PC. Third-party sellers, leaked executables, and so-called promo codes are not supported by Digital Extremes and frequently lead to account issues or malware.

Preludes runs on PC only. Console versions are not available in this phase, and mobile clients do not exist. If you are joining from a laptop, verify you meet system requirements before purchasing a Founder tier — refunds follow the platform's policies, but hardware disappointment is avoidable with a quick spec check.

Waitlist Path

The waitlist is the free route into Soulframe. Visit the official Soulframe website, create or link a Digital Extremes account, and complete the Preludes registration form. Invitations are sent in waves; timing depends on server capacity, regional rollout, and Founder friend-code activity that temporarily increases concurrent users.

Waitlist players receive the same Preludes 15 build as Founders, though some social features — such as generating friend codes — remain Founder-exclusive. Founder Path

Founder packages grant immediate Preludes access on PC plus cosmetic and social perks that vary by tier. Founders also receive friend codes to invite others, effectively acting as curated growth vectors for the pre-alpha population. After purchase, access propagates to the Digital Extremes account used at checkout. Install the launcher, select Soulframe Preludes, and patch to the latest Gods & Ghosts build. Founder entitlements — nameplates, emotes, or future cosmetic drops — attach to that account permanently even if Preludes resets progression between major milestones.

First Steps After Login

New players land in Midrath with a guided route through basic combat, Nightfold activation, and your first Virtue choices.
