Soulframe PC Keybinds
Default and recommended PC keybinds for Soulframe Preludes 15: movement, Nightfold, parry, Smite, Virtue abilities, and inventory shortcuts.
Control Philosophy
Soulframe on PC expects precise inputs for parries, Nightfold cancels, and Smite finishers. Preludes 15 tightened input buffering so rebinding keys does not break combo routes, but extreme remaps may require practice in the training yard before Agari or boss attempts.
The default layout mirrors action-RPG conventions: WASD movement, mouse camera, left-click light attacks, right-click heavy or aim contexts. Abilities map to number keys with Pact-specific modifiers on hold keys. Because Preludes is PC-only, keyboard and mouse remain the reference implementation for combat timing.
Default Combat Bindings
Primary attack, block, and parry occupy mouse buttons for fast reaction to enemy telegraphs. Nightfold toggles on a reachable key — default Q — because ghost-phase enemies in Gods & Ghosts punish delayed activation. Smite prompts appear contextually after successful parry chains; confirm with the interact key unless rebound.
Dodge and sprint share stamina resources in many Pacts; keep dodge on a finger-rest key like Space and sprint on Shift to avoid accidental stamina drain during Torment Stag learning sessions.

Recommended Rebinds
Players with small keyboards may move Nightfold to a mouse side button for thumb access during movement-heavy Agari routes. Courage-focused Tethren builds benefit from placing Smite confirmation near parry to minimize hand travel.
Export your bind profile before major patches — Preludes occasionally resets conflicting keys when new systems like Totem management add hotkeys. The settings guide covers backup and restore.
Accessibility Notes
Toggle sprint, hold-to-block alternatives, and aim assist sliders exist for PC players with ergonomic needs. Parry timing cannot be fully automated without breaking competitive integrity, but telegraph contrast sliders help ghost enemies remain readable in Gods & Ghosts zones.
